Lorien Novalis School is seeking someone with school administrative experience who will assist the office staff a minimum of 3 days per week and be available to cover office staff absence and leave. The role requires excellent organisation skills, attention to detail, a can-do attitude and event planning experience would be desirable.

<p><b>Location:</b> Dural, NSW <br /><b>Employment Type:</b> Casual<br /><b>Closing Date:</b>  11:55pm, Sunday 21st April 2024</p><p>Lorien Novalis Steiner School is situated in Dural, the Hills District of Sydney, about 45 minutes northwest of the city, nestled in lush bushlands and landscaped gardens. The school has been offering a rich and creative Steiner learning program for over 50 years and has built a strong reputation for the diverse and engaging education that it provides.</p><p><b>THE POSITION<br /></b>Lorien Novalis School is seeking someone with school administrative experience who will assist the office staff a minimum of 3 days per week (must include Monday &amp; Friday) and be available to cover office staff absence and leave. The role requires excellent organisation skills, attention to detail, a can-do attitude and event planning experience would be desirable.</p><p>The position is directly accountable to the Office Administration Assistants requiring: </p><p>*  Confidentiality and discretion<br />*  A capacity to work collaboratively as part of the School staff<br />*  To represent the school, its ethos and values to an enquiring public<br />*  A current WWCC<br />*  Current First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one</p><p><i><b>Assist with the following responsibilities<br /></b></i><i>*  </i>Reception duties – assist with all enquiries (phone, email and face to face reception visitors)<br />*  Assist with roll keeping<br />*  Updating database<br />*  Assist with ordering stationery, supplies and stocktake<br />*  Assist with vehicle renewals<br />*  Administer First Aid to students and staff</p><p><i><b>Desired skills and experience<br /></b></i><i>*  </i>Strong database management experience<br />*  Strong administrative skills with focus on timely competition and accuracy<br />*  A strong ability to work independently with high level of discretion and a strong team contributor<br />*  Competent IT skills<br />*  Knowledge of Steiner Education and its implementation at Lorien Novalis School, desirable<br />*  Event planning/coordinating experience desirable</p><p><i><b>Personal Attributes<br /></b></i><i>*  </i>Be honest and trustworthy<br />*  Be respectful<br />*  Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity<br />*  Be flexible<br />*  Demonstrate sound work ethics<br />*  Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure<br />*  Enjoy people, and children in particular</p><p><b>SALARY<br /></b>Salaries are determined by the school taking into account your level of experience and the The Independent School’s MEA</p><p><b>SELECTION CRITERIA</b><br />*  Meeting the qualifications and experience requirements<br />*  Commitment to the ethos and values of the school<br />*  Commitment to on-going learning and personal development</p><p><b>COMMENCEMENT<br /></b>April to May</p><p><b>ENQUIRIES<br /></b>All enquiries should be addressed to Dr Konrad Korobacz, Head of School and emailed to larat&#64;lorien.nsw.edu.au.
