<p>Are you in your final year of your tertiary studies* with a Bachelor of Education or Master of Education? Our scholarship aims to support you as you commence your teaching career with us in 2025. As a graduate teacher with us, you&#39;ll have the opportunity to work with experienced educators and gain valuable experience in the classroom. Mid-year graduate scholarships will be based on an individual timeline in line with your conferral date. </p><p>Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton serves communities from Bundaberg in the south to Mackay in the north and west to Longreach at 17 locations across Central Queensland. We want you to be valued, inspired and welcomed into our school communities, joining our culture of care. </p><p>Each year Catholic Education in the Diocese of Rockhampton appoints a number of graduate teachers to Catholic Kindergartens, Primary Schools and Colleges commencing at the start of each year. Our Graduate Scholarship Program offers financial incentive, early offer of appointment and employment certainty through permanency. </p><h4>Scholarship Timeframes </h4><p>Early offer of permanency for successful Scholarship applicants will occur in June 2024. </p><p>Initial payment of $500 will occur upon receipt of your acceptance. </p><p>Formal offers of employment including advice of school placement are provided in September 2024. </p><h4>Scholarship Tiers </h4><p>Our graduate primary teacher scholarships have been designed with your needs in mind. </p><p>There are three scholarship tiers on offer in 2024: </p><p>Tier 1 - Rural Opportunities </p><p>Tier 2 - Fostering Family Wellbeing </p><p>Tier 3 - Certainty and Permanency </p><p>Please review the information on our website to determine what tier you are eligible for. </p><h4>Tier 1 Scholarship - Rural Opportunities </h4><p>Tier 1 Scholarship has been designed for our rural locations with the following incentives: </p><p>FINANCIAL - $6500 ($500 initial payment; $3000 at end of 1st and 2nd year) &#43; Location incentives (IPRASS payments and ITAS Allowance) </p><p>LOCATION BENEFITS - Accommodation and Travel Expenses (Subsided housing and $1000 travel subsidy per year) </p><p>EMPLOYMENT - Permanency on Appointment </p><p>PLAN YOUR LIFE - Receive an early offer of employment in June 2024 (at a school to be advised once Staffing is finalised) </p><p>PRIORITY TRANSFER - We recognise commitment of remote service. Priority transfers are available to you after completion of at least 2 years service in a remote location to your preferred region. </p><p>HECS DEBT WAIVER - You have the opportunity to become eligible to have your HECS Debt waived under the government initiative (pending completion of eligibility requirements and subject to location appointment.#) </p><p>INDIVIDUALISED MENTORING - with your school and the Consultant: Teacher Growth and Development to set you up for success. </p><h5>Tier 1 Eligible Locations </h5><ul><li>Longreach# </li><li>Barcaldine# </li><li>Blackall# </li><li>Clermont </li><li>Springsure </li><li>Emerald </li><li>Monto </li><li>Biloela </li></ul><h5>Tier 1 Eligibility Criteria </h5><p>Be due to graduate and confer in 2024 and be able to obtain provisional QCT Registration prior to the commencement of the 2025 School Year. *Please note these timeframes do not apply to mid-year graduates in 2025 and are in line with conferral dates. </p><p>Accept a teaching position anywhere within Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton </p><h4>Tier 2 Scholarship - Fostering Family Wellbeing </h4><p>Tier 2 Scholarship has been designed for graduate teachers in line with our culture of care where it is recognised that you have family commitments and are unable to relocate from your current region and offers the following incentives: </p><p>FINANCIAL - $2500 ($500 initial payment; $1000 at end of 1st and 2nd year) </p><p>EMPLOYMENT - Permanency on Appointment </p><p>PLAN YOUR LIFE - Receive an early offer of employment in June 2024 (at a school to be advised in your preferred location) </p><p>INDIVIDUALISED MENTORING - with your school and the Consultant: Teacher Growth and Development to set you up for success. </p><h5>Tier 2 Eligible Locations </h5><ul><li>Rockhampton </li><li>Yeppoon </li><li>Gracemere </li><li>Mackay </li><li>Sarina </li><li>Walkerston </li><li>Gladstone </li><li>Tannum Sands </li></ul><h5>Tier 2 Eligibility Criteria </h5><p>Be due to graduate and confer in 2024 and be able to obtain provisional QCT Registration prior to the commencement of the 2025 School Year. *Please note these timeframes do not apply to mid-year graduates in 2025 and are in line with conferral dates. </p><p>Advise on application your family commitments that support your eligibility to be considered for a Tier 2 Scholarship. </p><h4>Tier 3 Scholarship - Certainty and Permanency </h4><p>Tier 3 Scholarship has been designed for graduate teachers to offer certainty and permanency to assist in kick-starting your teaching career and offers the following incentives: </p><p>EMPLOYMENT - Permanency on Appointment </p><p>PLAN YOUR LIFE - Receive an early offer of employment in June 2024 (at a school to be advised in your preferred location) </p><p>INDIVIDUALISED MENTORING - with your school and the Consultant: Teacher Growth and Development to set you up for success. </p><h5>Tier 3 Eligible Locations </h5><ul><li>Rockhampton</li><li>Yeppoon</li><li>Gracemere </li><li>Mackay </li><li>Sarina </li><li>Walkerston </li><li>Gladstone </li><li>Tannum Sands </li></ul><h5>Tier 3 Eligibility Criteria </h5><p>Be due to graduate and confer in 2024 and be able to obtain provisional QCT Registration prior to the commencement of the 2025 School Year. *Please note these timeframes do not apply to mid-year graduates in 2025 and are in line with conferral dates. </p><h4>Scholarship Conditions </h4><ul><li>Applications are welcome from anyone who would support the Catholic ethos and mission </li><li>Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate in 2024 or mid-year 2025) </li><li>Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education </li><li>Demonstrate professional knowledge, practice and engagement </li><li>Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment </li><li>A desire to serve the community of Central Queensland </li></ul><p>High achieving graduates will be identified on the basis of professional experience reports, application responses and referee statements. </p><h4>The below incentives are available to all successful applicants: </h4><ul><li>Relocation assistance (up to $3000;
