The position of the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) is a senior leadership role that exists to support the Principal in implementing the mission and vision of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students. St Joseph's Primary School in Leeton are looking for a Religious Education Coordinator to join their amazing team, commencing 30 January 2024.

Your new role:

The position of the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) is a senior leadership role that exists to support the Principal in implementing the mission and vision of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students. The REC has the delegated responsibility for the leadership, coordination and supervision of learning and teaching in Religious Education. In sharing the leadership of Catholic Life, Education and Mission, the REC is required to have a well-developed capacity to take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese of Wagga Wagga.

What you will need to succeed (Selection Criteria):

  • As an employee with CEDWW it is expected that in this role you will lead and promote the mission and vision of Catholic Education.
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of and commitment to Catholic Education and regularly participates in the sacramental life of the Church.
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications (4 year trained)
  • Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E) in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wagga Policy (or a commitment to commence study in Semester One of their second year).

Qualifications Licences and Competencies

  • Postgraduate academic qualifications additional to initial teacher training.
  • Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E, Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation.
  • NESA Accreditation at Proficient Status or beyond.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Current Working With Children Check.
  • Current National Criminal History Check.
