Employment Type: Permanent
Employment Status: Full-time (part time negotiable)
Salary: $71,253 - $75,765 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)(pro-rata for part-time appointments)
Start Date: January 2024

About the Role

The opening of our new ELC, brings with it the opportunity to engage multiple Early Childhood Teachers. This exciting and rewarding opportunity exists to support the implementation of the mission of Catholic education and to provide a high quality learning environment and program for children in the year before formal schooling. The Early Childhood Teacher works as a part of a team striving for excellence in teaching and learning, where relationships and partnerships are nurtured and respected and where children feel safe and develop a strong sense of identity

Whilst this advertisement is for Full-time positions, Part-time may be considered for suitable applicants. 


Essential Criteria:

  • A willingness to support the ethos and mission of Catholic education.
  • Excellent pedagogical skills in an inquiry, play-based preschool program that considers the needs of all children and the indoor and outdoor environments for provocation and learning. Implementing an inclusive program based on recorded observations, analysis of learning and developmental needs of children.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and a sense of responsibility and self-motivation with strong organisational skills.
  • An understanding of the National Quality Standards and a commitment to contribute to the centres’ Quality Improvement Plan and centre philosophy
  • Commitment and ability to work in a cohesive team.
  • An understanding of the implications of legal, employment and child protection policies.
