THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Learning Support Teacher works collaboratively within the Learning Support and broader Wellbeing Team to provide targeted learning support for students to support the goal of providing a safe and inclusive educational environment where each student can achieve their own potential.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Recognised teaching qualification, approved for teaching secondary school (Stages 4-6) with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accreditation
• Strong knowledge of the NSW curriculum.
• Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problemsolving skills with the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully in a team environment.
• Ability to apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
• Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in literacy/learning support needs.
• Sound knowledge and experience using a range of assessment strategies and analysing data to inform student learning.
• Experience with demonstrated high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher, with the ability to structure lessons that meet the individual physical, social and intellectual development needs of students.
• Understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of an all-girl Catholic College embracing the Good Samaritan and Benedictine tradition.
• Strong digital literacy with the ability and willingness to engage with a variety of technologies
