The school offers a strong academic program with foundation skills in Literacy and Numeracy at the centre of innovative educational programs across all learning areas. Hawker School is focussed on a consistent, whole school approach and creates programs to engage children in critical, divergent and creative thinking. </p><p>The dedicated teaching team have high expectations and support each learner to do their best and to strive to reach their individual potential in academic pursuits and to discover their passions and talents. The school strives to create strong community links with and an enthusiastic student body and a supportive school board and P&amp;C. </p><p><b>Eligibility/ Other Requirements: </b>Prior to commencing in this role a minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification; a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI) and a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
